Rare mods in warfarms are the gold mods that seem hard to get. That's true, but there are places in the game where finding these rarities will be more likely to become common. Ideally, you want to be so far that you have completed the second dream to have access to Lua, the moon of the earth.
Lua is a reliable place to farm rare mods, because if you complete one of the seven halls of the ascent, they provide a guaranteed rare mod.
